Candidate Forums

LWV White Bear Lake Candidate Forums

The purpose of Candidate Forums is to give voters an opportunity to hear candidates discuss issues of importance to them in this election. Candidates will answer questions from the public during this moderated event. Questions are accepted from the floor and via email until noon the day of the event at All events are free and open to the public.

In the fall of 2018 our LWV presented 17 forums across the northeast metro area, drawing a total of over 1100 attendees. Most forums were recorded and made available for later viewing. On July 11, 2019 we presented a Meet and Greet event for the Ramsey County Board District 1 candidates.  Oct. 1 we presented a Ramsey County District 1 Candidate forum and Oct 3 presented a candidate forum for White Bear Lake ISD 624 School Board candidates.

The fall of 2020 will be a busy one, as we prepare for the Presidential election as well as state and local contests, and we look forward to presenting more candidate forums when and as we are able. TBA.

See Calendar Page for details on upcoming candidate forums.
